Our Youth Athlete Training program is built for athletes ages 10–18 who want to get faster, stronger, and more explosive. Each session combines sprint mechanics, strength training, jumping, and agility work — all scaled to the athlete's age and experience level.

Whether your child is just starting out or already competing at a high level, our coaches provide the right mix of challenge, safety, and encouragement to help them reach their potential. We also emphasize injury prevention by teaching proper movement patterns and building resilience.

How It Works

Every session is coached. Athletes train in small groups where they get personalized instruction, clear progressions, and feedback. We use proven methods and performance tracking tools to measure progress so athletes (and parents) can see real results over time.

Why It Matters

Youth athletes who add speed, strength, and agility training outside of their sport gain an edge — not just for the season ahead, but for long-term athletic development. At Wilmington Strength, our goal is to help every athlete build confidence, compete with intent, and develop skills that carry over to every sport.

"My 14 yr old daughter had no prior experience with weight lifting outside of volleyball. They quickly got her adapted to equipment and format. She was tested on sprinting, vertical jumps, pull ups — giving her a baseline and building from there. After 30 days her improvements were incredible."

"My son loves going to this gym! He's been going for 5 months and it's been helping him get stronger, faster, and develop great form. Matt focuses on proper technique and builds plans to help the kids meet their goals. My son also loves tracking his progress and seeing how much he's improving."

"My son is loving Wilmington Strength. He is learning how to navigate a gym and use correct form and I love that Matt and Sean are right there to make sure he learns the right way. It's the benefits of personal training but in a group setting. Awesome stuff!"

"My 14-year-old son wanted to start strength training and my priority was finding a program that emphasized safety and proper mechanics. Matt was fantastic — he took the time to meet with us, explain the methodology, and really listen to my son's goals. My son is now a huge fan of both the strength and speed programs at Wilmington Strength."
