Speed Training at Wilmington Strength


Our Speed Training program is built to help athletes get faster where it matters most — on the field and court. Each session focuses on sprint mechanics, acceleration, explosive first steps, and change of direction.

We combine sprinting, plyometrics, and agility drills with expert coaching and performance tracking so athletes see measurable progress. The result: more speed, more confidence, and less risk of injury.


How It Works


Coached Every Session:
Athletes train in small groups with direct feedback on form and technique.
Age-Appropriate Progressions: Workouts are scaled so both beginners and advanced athletes improve safely.
Performance Tracking: Timing gates and measurable tests keep athletes motivated and parents informed.


Why It Matters


Strength work is important — but speed separates good athletes from great ones. For football, soccer, lacrosse, basketball, and more, this program is the perfect complement to school lifting. Athletes learn to apply their strength with better mechanics, making them faster and more game-ready.
